Beneath the Haze: Art and Architecture in Los Angeles. A project about paradox. One of the most striking elements of contemporary architecture in Los Angeles is the use of unrelenting, provocative advertising on most spare walls that can be found in the city. What intrigues me about the “blast the senses” advertising where ever you go is the paradox of values. Selling one thing and using advertising techniques that can be really confusing in the sense of integrity. The project documents contemporary life and architecture in Los Angeles, giving it a time frame wrapped in commercial art. Film provided by Ilford Film and Imaging, thank you so much!
